Keeping the changes quiet was a very difficult task for me. PWS has essentially, raised the bar to a very high level. Keep an eye on PWS for up and coming things... this company is built on ethics, staffed by shooters, and committed to quality.
If you are in the market for a stone cold, reliable AR, that needs very MINIMAL TLC, have a look.

My plan is to get my hands on a MK118 Wraith and use it in 3 Gun, and local TAC Rifle meets, as well as testing it as a peremeter rifle / SPR type rig. I also have a MK218 on que, to fill the role as a SWS in the LE world... once I get them in hand, I will detail my findings. Handling them at SHOT was like petting a unicorn...

ReplyDeleteI have gotten a few emails about the new revisions of the PWS rifles. Let me say this. I have several of the what is now called "Mod 0" rifle... the original design, which I am so fond of. The now "Mod 1" design took what was being seen as a detractor, and fixed it. Now, the new PWS MK1 and MK2 rifles have every feature that is positive on both DI rifles (free floating hand guards / adjustable gas blocks) and everything that is positive about the Long Stroke Piston System, with zero negatives. They have, in my mind, perfected an already close to perfect design. This will still not please die hard DI fans, who state that there is no need for a piston system. Well, that is debatable. PWS does one thing VERY well... they build rock solid, reliable weapons, which I for one, am proud to run. If you get a chance, pick one up and handle it. To hold it, to shoot it, is to buy it.
